My favorite Room! where magic happens...
projects, projects and more projects!
I owe my sewing skills to Grant's mom Donna, for buying me a sewing machine and sharing with me her love for quilting. Oh, and Kate for teaching me how to use my sewing machine for the first time a couple years ago. It's my favorite hobby.

mOsT of OcToBeR!
New York City
Grant and I went to New York City with the Jacksons. We all went for a Memorial Service in honor of Grant's uncle Dick...his dad's only brother. He was an amazing man and I really learned a lot more about him. It was an intimate celebration of a man who was a great person, family man and friend. I always come away from a gathering like this thinking to myself how I can be better, and reflecting on my friendships and family relationships. I can only hope that people will think of me the way Uncle Dick is remembered. I think the best way to honor someone is to throw a party and reminisce with close friends and family... to laugh and to cry about the good old days. It really was so neat to hear all the great stories. Life is such a beautiful thing! It's truly amazing how one person can make such an impact on the lives of others.
On a lighter note... New York City in the Fall is absolutely breathtaking. I am so happy that my first time there was the best time to visit... or so they say. We really tried to get as much in as possible. I swear we walked 1,000 miles! We strolled thru Central Park, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, shopped on Canal Street, went to a Show, ate at Carnegie Deli, went to Ground Zero, Wall Street, saw the Statue of Liberty (much smaller than I imagined), made an appearance on the Today Show :) front and center, shook hands with Mit Romney at Church, sited a couple movie stars, watched a movie being filmed, and much more. I also pretended I was Carrie from Sex and the City a few times:) so fun. We can't wait to go back!
I have to give a special Thank You a million times over again and again to Andy and Holly for taking such good care of our kids. We love you guys!

Hiking in American Fork
4 1/2 mile hike with two kids!!! What were we thinking! J/k We had a really good time. It was raining a little and kind of cold the whole way up, but once we got to the top it was well worth it. I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
